Why, it is the cover from the front of Don's piano! He had taken it off in preparation for the piano tuner to come last Friday.
I'd seen the insides of pianos before, but I guess I'd not taken a really good look. They're fascinating!
Job was done, piano put back together, with sound approved by Don, and he's happily spent time tickling the keys.
