"Petoskey's Boyne Highlands......"

I forgot to post this photo (of a photo), that Sean was given. Someone he knows, was up in a helicopter and took this photo of him standing outside on Cava's patio. I thought it was pretty neat.

While exploring the area around Petoskey, we drove out to Boyne Highlands Ski Resort. As you can see, the day was not bright and beautiful, but at least it wasn't raining for a change. It began raining Friday night and continued to be dark and gloomy with intermittent rain showers all weekend long. It wasn't until Monday, when I was driving home and in Illinois, that I ran out of it.

A glimpse of more ski slopes to the south behind the "village".

We were able to take some roads and go up into the hills, seeing these 4 deer along the way. They showed no fear and just stood there watching us.

The dirt track behind them is used as a ski trail during the snow season. It starts up much higher than we were and comes down through some of the residential areas of Boyne Highlands.

Back down into the valley and another view of the "village".

Tomorrow.......dinner at Chandlers, in downtown Petoskey.
