"Woody's 81st Birthday Brunch......."

We met our friend Woody Saturday morning, down at Sardine for brunch to celebrate his 81st birthday.

We were able to be seated right next to one of the windows so had all of the glorious sunshine streaming in on our table........temperatures outside that morning were in the single digits.

Woody with me......

Don with the sun in his face......as I said, we had fantastic sun throughout our time there.

Woody ordered "Creamed Eggs".....

I had an omelet of herbs, Gruyere Cheese, ham, and frites! Delicious! ;)

Don ordered the "Grilled Salmon", which I tasted and found very tasty, too.

Since this was a celebration and it was "Brunch", Woody ordered a Mimosa, too.

While both Don and I ordered a "Bloody Mary", which was also delicious (but not nearly as good as those served by "Bluephies" on Monroe Street).

As always, we had a wonderful time with Woody. Once again, Happy Birthday Woody!

Don wanted this photo because of the "undulating" walkway to the lakeside entries of Machinery Row business.

We then headed down to check out the new Willy Street location of the "Off The Beaten Path Yarnery" shop, originally located in Monona.

I met some teacher friends at Sardine over winter break for brunch and had a similar experience. I ended up having to take off my sweater and wear a t-shirt the sun was so hot. It felt marvelous. From the looks of things you and Don are having an excellent start to 2010. cheers.
