I started out with a photo of our birthday boy Lonny, so thought I'd end with one..... :)

"The Gathering Last Friday...."
I swear that Lonny's birthday is the longest celebrated birthday that I have ever witnessed. ;) Charlie hadn't gotten Lonny a cake on his real birth date, so decided to have one at Friday's Happy Hour. It was appreciated by all! :)
Attending last Friday were: Sara (in pink), Ryan (plaid, who is our newest neighbor, house sitting for Mary and Made while they are in Bali), Rob, Lonny (with Jillian), Michael, and Ramona.
Abby (Ryan's wife), Anna, Karen, me......
Ryan, Peter, Linda, and their daughter Erica, talking with Rob.
Kim and Ruby came down to visit for a bit, too. I (FINALLY!!!) got to hold Zoe!
More photos to follow......

"Wingra Jazz Fest.....The LAST, I PROMISE!!!!!"
A little later in the day, the boys went back out for more of "Ultimate Frisbee". Here is Rob showing his technique in the "toss".
Either Lonny has thrown or is intent on receiving......
And Michael was able to join the boys in their testosterone battle as well.......
A "not so private moment" with Lonny and Charlie. ;)
Krista was actually "allowed" to hold one of her twins (Christine actually gave Zoe up for a minute). :)
Charlie holding Kai.....
And then it was Lonny's turn to hold Kai.
That was the last photo of our day at Wingra Jazz Fest....now to move onto other adventures. ;)

"More Jazz Fest....."
Zoe wasn't the only one who was tuckered out after feeding time. Christine couldn't keep her eyes open either. ;)
Rob and Lonny after their frisbee toss......
Takin' it easy.......
Krista giving me pointers on bottle feeding.......
I'm a quick learner. ;) This is Kai, by the way.
And yes, there is more to follow.......

"Lake Wingra....."
This is a "lake view" shot of part of the park. There were signs with all of the street names of the Dudgeon Monroe neighborhood, which we think were there for people to sit behind and get to know others who lived on their street. We were not interested in sitting in full sun, so I guess we'll have to wait for another "opportunity" to meet other Gregory Street people......
Don took numerous photos of Lake Wingra. The people shown in the photos are not anyone we know........just in case you were interested. ;) We've watched "log rolling" classes that were held alongside this pier.
The Lake Wingra Boat House rents various types of boats to use on the lake.
There is also a ramp to launch your own craft as well.......
I "think" there is a limit to how large a motor can be, plus they are only allowed at certain times.
The kid in the middle has it made, eh? :)
It is hard to tell from this view, but the Arboretum has land along the lake, plus Vilas Park (with swimming beach), which includes Vilas Zoo, is also along Lake Wingra.
More of the boats rentals. Notice the variety of boats? (Kayaks, sail, fishing, rowing, paddle) You can also moor your own boats here as well.
This photo shows how extensive the marina is.
More of our group to come.........

"Wingra Fest Continued....."
Next to arrive were Krista, bringing the twins Zoe (left) and Kai, with friend Christine (not shown).

Friends of Krista, Karen and Michael, also stopped by to say hello. Kai had his turn at being fed as well. :)

"Wingra Jazz Fest...."
The Dudgeon-Monroe Neighborhood Association hosts a Jazz Fest annually in Wingra Park. Don and I have had to miss it for some reason or other the past year or so, but we were able to attend this years event. It was also our 6th anniversary of being together as well....another event to celebrate! :)
Rob drove us down this year so in case there wasn't close parking, we'd be able to unload the car with our chairs, cooler, bags of snacks and other picnic items, and he'd go find parking and walk back. We were fortunate and had 3 cars pull out as we drove in......so many choices! LOL
Barb and Geoff were the first of our friends to show up. This photo shows our little gathering spot. From left to right are: Barb, me, Rob, and Geoff, with Don as photographer, of course. :)

"Bike and Beans....."
Besides it being Lonny's birthday this weekend, he also got a new bike a few weeks ago. He brought it up on the deck to give Don and I a closer look. Here he is proudly posing alongside his new beauty, with Jillian patiently waiting on leash. :)
Rob came out to inspect the new bike, too. It has disk brakes, an interior gear box (no derailer) which allows gears to be changed without pedaling, a stainless steel chain, and other options/features that are unusual for a bike (this means I don't understand them). ;)
Copper came over to check it out, too. I think she was taking her cues from Rob on what to look at......
And our quickly growing snap bean plants in the Aero Garden. I've had to move the light up 3 notches very quickly as beans are fast growers. I'm sure it won't be long before we'll see some blossoms.
