"Day 2 of Henry's Headboard Series....."

This is one of the side panels of the headboard. It has the "tongue" part of the "tongue and groove". :)

Next, we have one of the "groove" pieces.......(with a little "tongue", too)

Mortising out the headboard post to create the "groove" for the headboards panel from the 1st photo. I imagine this process was used in a similar way for attaching the bed frame to the headboard as well, but that is only speculation on my part.

Finished headboard glued and clamped.

Completed headboard "sealed/finished", and ready for the trip up to Henry's bedroom.

Installation of headboard continued tomorrow.......
