"Laconia, New Hampshire......"

Our vacation plans all revolved around our being in Laconia, NH, for the annual National Circular Sock Machine Convention. Laconia is in the heart of the "Lakes Region" of New Hampshire. The major part of the convention took place in the Belknap Mill.

A little info on the mill........

This is the mill building that was used for the convention. We had the entire 3rd floor where the national meeting started the convention, classes were held, and the final banquet took place.

A view of it from the park along the mill race.

The power source for the mill.......

The building on the left was also used when the mill was operational, but is no longer affiliated with it. It now houses business offices.

A view of the whole building........

The water originally went through the underside of that building and then on to the building which still houses the mill equipment (I will show the interior of the mill in tomorrow's post).

Here is where the water entered the mill.........

Belknap Mill continued tomorrow.......

Truly amazing...loved that shot of the ghost stream going into the bricked wall!
