"Benjamin and Henry....."

As you've probably been able to tell by the multitude of photos I have already posted of the Memorial Day cookout, Don really enjoys taking photographs. The following is a series of photos that he took of Benjamin and Henry playing. I don't really need to tell you how cute we all think they are, but I'm sure you'll agree with us! ;)

"Yes...More Memorial Day photos....."

A "couples" photo! Charlie and Lonny strike a pose.........

This was the "nursing" section. ;)

Angela with a sleeping Becca, and Rachel, a friend of Perry's.

With our friendly neighborhood vets at the celebration, Copper wasn't able to avoid having her nails done. Excited looking, isn't she? ;)

JonAnne, Justin, and Don (is he sticking his tongue out at the camera???!!!)

And still more photos to come..........

"Memorial Day Cook Out Continued......"

Also joining us were Kim and Brian, with their daughter, Ruby. Charlie is on the upper deck next to me, while Andy sits watching Benjamin as Benjamin is contemplating making his move on Ruby. :)

Since Don and I had other party associated duties to perform, "The Boys" (Lonny and Rob) took over our "usual" seats. :) They are looking at photos from our cook out 5 years ago.

Well.....that didn't take long did it? Here are Ruby and Benjamin sharing a moment.

Although, Benjamin soon moved on to play with Henry. Looks like the boys are playing a bit rougher than when Benjamin and Ruby hung out......

Javon and Theron (not shown) also stopped by. Here she is visiting with Rob.

To be continued.......

"More Photos of Memorial Day...."

Here are a couple of satiated guys.....Michael and Lonny.

Speaking of satiated! I'm enjoying one of Christina's coconut cupcakes!

Mom Angela with a sleeping Becca.

Becca made the rounds! Here is Tracie holding and playing with her. That's Perry sitting on the steps....

Geoff took a few moments from the party to look through our garage sale items (this coming Friday and Saturday....neighborhood sale). THANKFULLY, he took a few things home with him, saving us from having to actually put them out for the sale. ;)

We managed to get Barb to take some things, too......

Oh so many more photos to post.....soon to follow!

"Don.....at Bagpipers Camp"

I'll stray a bit from posting more of the Memorial Day cookout photos today. I drove Don to his week long bagpiping camp on Sunday, and he emailed me the photos that he/we took then.

The camp is being held in Delafield, WI, at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy. The academy has a very strong bagpiping class and many of the young men (it is a boys boarding school) returned to campus specifically for this camp, even though their school year is over.

The main entrance to the campus.......

Don in his dorm room. Yes, my friends, it IS spartan.

We walked into the dining hall and Don said, "It looks like Hogwarts". He is, of course, referring to the Harry Potter movies and "Hogwarts School of Wizardry".

The outside of the buildings were very cool, too. This building houses the dining hall, offices, and dorm rooms (including Don's). There are several other buildings surrounding a common area, so I'm "assuming" there are more that house dorm rooms as well.

Another building.......

Most of the buildings are made from the same materials and the campus is quite beautiful.

We walked through these iron gates and into the walled Memorial Garden, called The Columbarium, which is attached to the side of the chapel.

A view from the opposite end. The mother of our friend Penny, of Penny and Sheila fame, has a memorial plaque on the wall of the garden. She was involved with the academy in some capacity, but unfortunately, I don't remember exactly how.

Don has kept me posted as to how camp is going, through emails and phone calls. He is enjoying it very much. Unfortunately, the camp does not have internet service, but thankfully, there is a very nice coffee shop with WiFi a short walking distance from his dorm and it opens early in the morning, too. :)

"Days of Photos!"

I'm posting a lot later in the day due to not being able to get into Blogger earlier. It was not functioning for some reason.

Back to Memorial Day cook out.

How do you handle a hungry crowd? Feed them brats and burgers, of course (a few Vegan Brats were on the grill, too)! :) Here I am turning the "main events".

Barb and I......

Some of the group.....Copper beginning her search for dropped eatables.

Dad Michael making sure son Henry gets a bit of refreshment/sustenance, too.

Charlie showing her "5 months plus" tummy.......

More of the day to follow......

"The Partier's Arrive!"

Here comes Angela, styling in her new hat.

As many of you know, any babies that come to "deck party's/happy hours" are soon taken away from parents to be held by those others of us who love babies. :) Here is Geoff with Becca, Angela and Andy's daughter.

Barb fits a "felted cozy" onto her bottle of beer, while Rob listens to one of the many conversations going on around them...........Michael and Andy, and a little bit of Lonny, are in the background.

From left to right are: Michael (with Henry barely visible sitting by his feet), Lonny, Anna, Charlie, Tracie, and Bridget's knees. :)

Henry occupying himself while Copper sleeps behind him.

More Memorial Day photos to follow........
