My oldest son, Patrick, was riding with his motorcycle club, The Grey Dragons (http://www.greydragons.org/mission.htm), in the 4th of July Parade in Manistee, MI. Since he would be riding his cycle into town early to join his group and get organized/into position, Don and I picked up Julie and Abigail a bit later in the morning and drove into town to park, find our perfect seats, and watch the parade.
Here is Grandpa Don holding Abigail so she could see above the people in front of us.
Don and I took turns holding Abigail, and would occasionally sit a bit when the spaces between the parade participants got too wide. Pictured also, is my daughter in law Julie.
Here come The Grey Dragons! He is 2nd in line on OUR side of the street.....lucky us, eh? :)
Here is a close up of Patrick. Everyone in Patrick's motorcycle club are affiliated with a career in "Corrections". Patrick is Rec Director in the prison outside of Manistee.
Abigail's daycare provider, Miss Sue, was also in the parade with her husband and their dog, walking with the fire department.
More to follow.......
