The Train Ride......"

The train was fairly slow moving, so it was a very relaxing time. This photo that I took is a favorite. On our return trip, we saw 3 deer within 10' of the train.......just goes to show how "threatening" the trains speed was, eh?


All that is left of La Rue, WI, which was a thriving mining town.


The end of the line.......just beyond what you see in the distance, is the abandoned rock quarry. The fall colors were especially beautiful that day.


Just before the train engine was moved from the front to the rear for the trip back to North Freedom.
